CHOREOGRAPHY
CHOREOGRAPHY
My ongoing research, Dancers as People, highlights the importance of body autonomy and consent within dance environments. My choreographic process reflects my research and is rooted in creating sacred and safe containers for movement exploration. I often explore connection and desire in my choreographic work, and much of my movement vocabulary is informed by the natural world.
ritual mycorrizhal
Informed by the symbiotic relationship shared by plant roots and fungi, ritual mycorrizhal explored connection by way of physical touch and connection via an outside force— in the case of this piece, rope. Premiered spring 2023 at the University of San Francisco.

Love from Above
This piece drew inspiration from my own life, reflecting on my past of emphasizing romantic partnerships alone instead of prioritizing love for myself and my community. As we slowly return to lives that feel good amidst the ongoing pandemic, the importance of community and support is something I find myself contemplating often. We don't have many constants in life, especially in an ever-changing and often overwhelming world, but we hopefully have our community and love. When we may not even have that, we have ourselves— and our heartbeat and our breath. Priemered spring 2022 at the University of San Francisco.
