movement classes. My availability

varies, but I am currently

taking on new 1-on-1

or small-group clients. Let's dance!

Class Types

  • Ballet technique rooted in exploration and play.

  • movement for joy. movement for release. movement for calm. movement for pleasure. movement for hope. movement for movement's sake.

    come as you are in search of what you're craving. movement for— you fill in the blank. what do you need? what does your body want?

    we do not leave our days at the door. we show up as our whole, messy, authentic selves and move in community as an act of rebellion.

    A movement class taking inspiration from somatics, yoga asanas, and traditional contemporary technique that emphasizes feeling and sensation over output and performance. This class is for anyone that wants to or loves to dance but would like to focus on how they feel rather than how they look. movement for —  encourages moving comfortably while considering prompts that may challenge participants to dig deeper physically and emotionally as well as to explore and confront their own ideas surrounding dance technique and their personal practices. Above all, the class should feel good! Each session varies, but a typical class may include improvisation, asana sequences, somatic practices, contemporary-inspired warm-ups and phrases, and journal prompts. 

  • A movement class structured in response to astrological patterns and happenings. Our bodies are affected by the planets and their placements, and this class honors that understanding. Class intensive varies based on current astrology, but includes dance, yoga sequences, structured play, and rest. 

  • A holistic approach to contemporary and modern technique. Grace has 10+ years of experience in a variety of modern and contemporay dance forms and is eager to share her knowledge with her community. This class can be tailored to suit student desires and needs.
